The gospel is everything to us.

At Grace, we talk often of being a gospel-centered community. But that phrase begs for explanation. What does it mean for a group of people to be gospel-centered.

What is the gospel?

The gospel is the incredibly good news of what God has done in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to satisfy his own wrath against our sinful rebellion and to ensure the forgiveness of sin for all who trust in him by grace alone through faith alone.

The gospel is the good news of God saving us.

It's the news of what he as done, not what we do. It's the great news of what he provides, not what we earn. The gospel is a declaration of divine achievement.

We think that Dr. Sam Storms does a good job of summarizing these ideas in just under three minutes. Check it out below.

This news is what grounds, informs, and fuels all that we do at Grace because the gospel is not just the beginning of the Christian life. It is all of life. The gospel is for every day, every relationship, and every circumstance.

It's the reason this church exists, and we aim to make it our primary concern in all ways at all times.
